She produces them in an artists' district on the outer fringes of Beijing, where she shares a 4,000-square-foot studio with her boyfriend, a sculptor and landscape designer, and their four cats. A graduate of the Chinese capital's Art and Design Institute, she experimented with various mediums before settling on ceramics.
