The Avio desk was imagined by the young Milanese designer Alessandro Stabile. It is hand-crafted and draws on the great expertise of artisan Roberto Cattaneo, a joiner from the town of Seregno in Italy. The woodworking shop dates back to the 19th century; Avio continues the legacy. The Avio desk has massive, curved, pure lines. It consists of a table top covered with a superb soft and mat linoleum that feels pleasant to the touch. The natural wooden edge and structure contrast nicely with the coloured linoleum. Beneath the table top, you will find a compartment accessed by sliding the top back or forth (the top slides over a distance of 12 cm). When open, a niche is created offering easy access to the compartment’s con­tents. If the desk is placed against a wall, the nest can also be used to support a decorative book, a frame or why not a mirror, allowing you to turn your desk into a dressing table! You can also completely remove the table top by lifting it in order to have full access to the compartment beneath.
