In 1968, designer Anna Castelli Ferreri, wife of Kartell’s founder, created the famous Componibili. This moulded plastic cylinder with its understated, functional lines is a symbol of the revolution in design that occurred in the 1960s. Pop, democratic, accessible, daring, practical, modular: this little piece of furniture fully meets the needs of the new society that was emerging. The Componibili would soon become a real success thanks to its extreme functionality. Compact and versatile, it fits into any room in the house, on the floor or placed on a piece of furniture. It fulfils several functions: night table in a bedroom, side table in a living room, small storage space in the bathroom or kitchen, stool if required… Produced for nearly half a century, the Componibili has emerged over the decades as a true design classic. It has won many prizes and been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Pursuing its technological research, Kartell continues to innovate to select new materials that perform increasingly well and are ever more environmentally friendly. The A.I armchair is made from a 100% recycled thermoplastic technopolymer, coming from industrial waste. With this material, Kartell is making new inroads into environmental sustainability, using recycled materials while ridding the environment of waste which is turned back into raw materials, therefore triggering a virtuous cycle of the circular economy.> Flash sale: special price for a limited time only.
