Lihou Rug is a hand knotted wool rug in rust coloured reds with a modern abstract design. The design takes inspiration from a small tidal island called Lihou, the most westerly of the Channel Islands. At low tide, the island is linked to nearby L'Erée headland on Guernsey by a quarter mile stone causeway. The ancient craft of hand knotting rugs is highly specialised, requiring remarkable precision and patience, and many artisan weaver hours. Each rug is a unique, hand made work of art, designed to last a lifetime. This rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool with a cut pile and made in India. We recommend using a rug underlay for all our indoor rugs. 5 years warranty. Claire Gaudion rugs are created in collaboration with Momo Rugs.
