With her Table nomade collection Paola Navone presents a tangible travel report in the form of a collection of ‚souvenirs‘. One of Paola Navone's favourite materials is glass as its transparency and clarity offer a plethora of creative possibilities. The designer's memories of Turkey cover the form of these tea glasses enhanced with a modern touch. The three different-sized glasses flare out towards the top. Made from recycled glass in which small air bubbles are trapped, they wonderfully reflect the Turkish glass-blower art. These glasses can contain all kinds of drinks: water, fruit juice, etc. Paola Navone: „I have nomadic blood running through my veins. Travelling is my second nature. With the curiosity of an anthropologist, I explore everyday objects from different cultures and traditions. Distance is never an obstacle.“ During her many travels, Italian designer Paola Navone discovers new things every time. The colours and the patterns, the shapes and materials of traditional objects are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for her. Artisanal creations of an imperfect beauty that is in stark contrast with the perfect precision of today's industrial products.
