This large bookcase (H 220 x W 215 cm) in graphic and unstructured form will display your favourite books and CD’s in a truly original way. It consists of ten bars of a square 3 cm section: 6 of them are placed horizontally and four placed vertically. Resembling the Mikado game, the wooden bars seem to have been assembled randomly but no – they are assembled according to a precise plan. Mikado bookcase is extremely resistant in spite of its light and minimalist structure. It is free of superfluous details so that the attention can be drawn to the essential: the books and CD’s. This large bookcase is made of lacquered beech. Mikado is delivered with eight braces for a wall fixing, namely four smaller ones of 4 cm size and four bigger ones of 12 cm. You can choose which ones you need to use depending on the size of books you would like to put in. Because the weight of the books is important, it is recommended to put Mikado on the ground. Whether in a living room or bedroom, this piece beautifully occupies the wall space whilst blending into any decor. You can combine this bookcase with other smaller versions available on our website. Comes in natural oak or differently coloured lacquered beech. N.B. Mikado bookcase can accommodate novels, paperback books, CDs, DVDs on the smaller bars as well as big hardcover books on the bigger bars. Unfortunately, this bookcase cannot accommodate thin, supple paperback books or magazines.
