Just two Italian cabinetmakers work on making the Old Times collection, which requires exceptional craftsmanship. Old Times showcases wooden in its raw state: the defects which are generally glossed over here are highlighted and shown off. The knots and irregular contours of the aged solid elm seat are the ingredients of a primitive aesthetic that draws a link between present and past. This stool tells us about those ancient times when men sat on tree trunks and rocks… The minimalist design of the steel rod base superbly sets off the seat.
