branch simply placed against a wall. Ramo could be the archetype of the first
coat rack designed in the history of humanity! With the Ramo coat rack, designer
Marcantonio also wanted to pay tribute to the two most important materials used
over the centuries: wood, in its form, and metal. This steel coat rack is fixed
to the wall. The multiple arms provide plenty of hooks to hang bags and jackets
on. Very decorative, Ramo is a functional piece of furniture which, without
losing its practical character, succeeds in generating emotion. Designer
Marcantonio on the Ramo coat rack: ''I think that certain natural elements such
as the branches of trees embody within themselves the greatest force of nature,
by their capacity to adapt, grow, expand and give life to leaves, flowers and
fruit. That’s why I decided to make Ramo, giving it the nobility it deserves
through a noble material like metal." This creation is part of the „Atavica“
capsule collection created by Italian designer Marcantonio. This symbolic
collection brings together objects with a “primitive” morphology. Here,
Marcantonio explores the relationship between Man and his environment, from
prehistoric times to the present day. How has the relationship between man and
his environment changed over the millennia? What distinguishes the interaction
between today's man and the space in which he moves, from that which was
created between the first inhabitants of the planet and the nature that
surrounded them? The Atavicase collection includes the Cielo and Terra rugs,
Primasedia chair, Selce mirror and Ramo coat stand. All these objects share a
powerful objective: to be the 2.0 expression of ancient materials and
symbols.
