Icaro Sideboard Cantori Icaro Cantori is a wooden sideboard with 3 or 4 doors with iron frame. The feet are made of solid iron rod while the top is in glass. The matt lacquered interior can be customized in colour, while the available front decorations are: „wisteria“, „vintage“ gold leaf, „storm“. For the „vintage“ gold leaf decoration, the whole gold leaf is applied by hand on a dark bronze background. The application, which seems random, is actually very accurate; the leaf is a light veil that must be supported with tactile and aesthetic sensitivity to give the right light between one application and another. For „wisteria“ one, on the light background is applied some liquid chalk accompanying the casting. Subsequently, on mother-of-pearl base, flowers and branches of wisteria are hand painted following the low relief previously created. In the end, for „storm“ decoration, plaster, acrylic colours and spatula combine to create a three-dimensional decoration with a strong visual impact.
