Parameters and description
Part of our Venetian trend, this stunning hardwood blind is crafted in a modern colourway, ideal when adding a touch of colour to your home. With 63mm large wood slats, creating a shutter style look they have an easy to use cord, to raise and lower the blind and simple tilt cords to adjust light and privacy. This blind also has a shutter style slat for a more classic shutter style design. This blind can be cut down to suit your requirements: it can be cut down by 7.5cm on each side, 15cm in total. What makes the Room Darkening/Light Control Venetian Blind different to a traditional Venetian blind?Room Darkening/Light Control Venetian blinds are designed to allow in less light when closed. This is achieved by using a different type of lift mechanism to a traditional Venetian blind. A traditional Venetian blind is lowered and lifted by a cord which passes through the middle of each slat, whereas this version of a Venetian blind has two cords running in the v groves located on the slat edges. This means no light can pass though the cord gap, as is the case with traditional Venetian blinds. As well as no light passing though, there is enhanced privacy too. The slats also overlap more than a traditional Venetian blind to allow the slats to lie closer together. Room Darkening/Light Control Venetian blinds reduce up to 50% more external light than a traditional Venetian blind. This makes them a great choice, especially in the Spring/Summer months. How do the Room Darkening/Light Control Venetian blinds operate? The Room Darkening/Light Control Venetian blind operates in the same way as a traditional Venetian blind. When opened, the Room Darkening/Light Control Venetian blinds allow the same light control through the tilt cord and pull cord mechanisms, meaning the blind can be drawn up for maximum light exposure, or down with the slats tilted to allow some light but increase privacy levels. Please note that blinds cannot be returned once altered. For instructions, please click here.
