Be a part of a design legend with this reissue of the iconic floor lamp, Gräshoppa, a 50s masterpiece. You’ll love its vintage design! Gräshoppa was created in 1947 by Greta Magnusson Grossman, a designer and architect of Swedish origin. Greta Magnusson Grossman left Stockholm in1930 to settle on the west coast of America. She introduced Californians to the unique style of Danish modernism, whose commander-in-chief is Arne Jacobsen. The Gräshoppa floor lamp is made up of a steel tubular structure and an aluminium lampshade. Its unique profile is immediately recognisable, with its tripod base, its backward sloping shaft ending in an oblong lampshade. The simple and clean lines are highly graphical. This striking profile is highly modern. A joint allows the lampshade to adopt different positions and so direct the light. Greta Magnusson Grossman's lights are fetching record prices at auctions, and you should not hesitate to treat yourself to one of her emblematic pieces for a reasonable price!
