Domestic Box White/Green Ceramic. Dimensions: H. 20 cm – diam. 16 cm. Surfaces collection proposes investing the surface of an ordinary archetypical object with a graphic intervention. In response to the over-creation of new shapes, Surfaces chooses to produce a pre-existing shape and create a collection of graphic surfaces that are to be considered as so many design acts. The first volume elected by Domestic is a cylindrical vase in painted white porcelain with a cover letting it be transformed into a vase for a single flower and into a container. Matali crasset develops new typologies focussing on principles such as modularity, flexibility, generosity and hospitality.
