Both refined and modern, the Swirl collection features a sculptural, sophisticated construction that explores the notion of balance. Ultra-graphic, this candlestick has a solid geometric shape. Reversible, it can accommodate long candles or tealights. Tom Dixon pursues his artistic research inspired by post-consumer processes, the waste phenomenon and its management, and the recycling practices of used materials. The Swirl collection is made up of a material that imitates marble, made from industrial waste: recycled marble powder from sawmills. This powder is mixed with coloured pigments and resin. The material is then cut and turned by hand. The marble pattern provides superb mineral decoration.
