The engineered wood is study and a nice colour/finish. It isn't the easiest to put together the pegs are too short so it is hard to keep together when making. The top doesn't sit properly on the bottom. Similar to ikea flat pack but not quite as easy to follow instructions (which weren't included, had to request)
